Message: Mine does that, too. Just a slight hesitation on the highway. Only when the road is flat and load is light. Most noticable with the cruise control on. SOmetimes it's really annoying.
I have no idea what it is. Been doing that for many years. I've decided to ignore it.

Message: Make sure that you're using ATF+4 in your tranny. I tried ATF+3 and Smartblend friction modifier. My tranny started doing that so I switched to ATF+4 and my symptoms became less frequent. After I had my TCM flashed with the code that makes it act like a 545RFE (better shifting and gives you a 2nd OD gear .67:1 ratio) my tranny stopped doing that little hitch completely.

I printed and took this TSB to the dealer and they were able to flash the TCM. It cost me $95+tax. The cost varies from dealer to dealer, I've even heard of dealers doing this for free but, not around where I live.

Message: ATF+4 supersedes all previous ATF+ fluid types. Chrysler recommends all vehicles that were filled with ATF+3 to use ATF+4 when you replace your fluids. Your manual was written before Chrysler's recommendation came out. You can get ATF+4 at AutoZone or Walmart out here (Utah) and save about $2 per quart with Valvoline brand and even more with the Walmart brand.

Message: As yeah mentioned, Is the ABS and BRAKE light on? As far as hard starting or "skipping"(which I hope my truck never decides to do)it could just need a tune up. Check for codes. Turn the key on/off/on/off/on and the codes will display on the odometer as PXXXX. When it's finished or no codes it will display Pdone. Post back here with the codes.

Message: I'm experiencing the same problem, a little skip or hesitation at
highway speeds. It mainly happens on inclines. Once the
engine downshifts and the rpm's increase the skip / buck goes
away. I've replaced the TPS already to no avail. The issue
doesn't throw any codes either.
I refuse to believe this is transmission related or an electrical
issue. Seems more like a sensor problem.
Any help is most greatly appreciated! It's going into the shop
in two days...
