 Subject: trouble code

I have a 00 Quad Cab, 4.7, automatic...twice now with a cold engine, the tranny has seemed to stick in 2nd gear from a standing start. Check engine light comes on with trouble code P0871...I can't for the life of me find what that code means. I turn er off and when I start away again, the problem is gone. Anyone have anything similar?
