Subject: bad wheel bearing or ball joint?

i have another prob w/ my '02 'kota. when i'm driving in a straight path, i get kinda a roar from the driver side front wheel. when i turn the least bit to the right(passenger side) the roar stops until i go straight again, the the roar starts again. am i looking at a bad wheel bearing or a ball joint? thanx for all reads and replies!

wheel bearing..... ball joint has nothing to do with making that noise.... replace your wheel bearing hub assem....

its a sealed wheel bearing and the cheapest place i found was Rockauto.com

again, thanks for the reads, replies and help!!! you guys (and gals) ROCK! with all the bad stuff going on in cyberland with online predators and the like, it's so refreshing to go on the 'net, ask questions of knowledgeable people and get help detailing how to do something vs. going to dealer shop and getting reamed.

The hubs/bearings are sold as a unit. But you can change bearings only. There a press fit. Takes a bit to get the old ones out but it can be done. will save you bucks.

So many problems .... So little time
