Message: The answer is yes and no. Mopar calls for bids on there filters. Sometimes fram wins and once in a while it's someone else. My best friends brother in law is a very large dodge dealer. I bought my Dakota from him. He told me the factory filter is good quality. The ones you buy from the dealer are not the same quality and usually are rebadged fram. Been a while sense he told me this and things do change sometimes. For this reason, don't take this as gospel. Buy one and cut it open. There in lies your answer proof positive. If it has cardboard on the ends and LARRY AT J & J stated that the fram now degraded there relief valve from the cheap plastic one to cardboard also, your looking at a fram. You got to be picky on filters. There are other rebadged frams out there that are name brand.
So many problems .... So little time
