Message: A great deal of satisfaction can come from figuring it out and making one with your own two hands.
Don't cheat yourself out of this opportunity.
A lot can be learned by trial and error.
You can do it.
Consider yourself counselled.
Now get to work.

Message: About how thick are you talking . if it's in thousands, NAPA has brass shim stock in verious thickness that you can make one from. Even stack 2 or 3 if needed. Not a hard thing at all to do. If your talking thicker like 1/16 or 1/8 1/4 inch? what ever... Find a piece of aluminum and make it. Easy to work with and no problems with a leakless fit. You can find this aluminum at a metal recycler business. They stack it and sort it in there yards. They let you search these scrap piles for your needs. Amazing what you can find there. And very cheap too.
So many problems .... So little time
