 Subject: Tech School Students?

I was wondering how many of you people attend or have attended a tech school, UTI, Wyotech, NAD, any of them. Was it worth it or not? I Just want to hear some peoples comments on their experiences.

i know a kid(son's friend) that just graduated from UTI Houston, TX. He loved it. went through the BMW program and went to work at the local dealership as a line mech. as soon as he got out.

I went through a two year program many moons ago, using G.I. bill. That piece of paper said that you have the basic knowledge and skills to be useful to a shop from day one (even though you are green).It got me in the door of a large truck shop. After a number of years, I,m now a senior tech in charge of a shop for a large corp. Useful training in a stable field.

I'm going to a tech school and I was thinkng about wyotech for a while because i liked the hp engine and chasis fab program but i decided i could learn the same thing about engines in state and alot cheaper to.
oh btw how much does wytoech cost anybody know i tried to find out and i couldn't see a tuition number

we had a recruter guy come into my voke school he said about 25000 for a year including books room and bourd all that but still quite quite pricey

I'll be graduating from UTI Illinois in two weeks and can't wait. I liked the program and the people. It was worth the time and everything. The price was 26,000 just for school. Then rent was 679 a month for sixteen months. It's a lot of money but easy come easy go. Mike E

Wyotech cost around 25k thats correct. Ive been here for about 2 weeks now. You learn alot in little time. Its not for some one the least bit lazy either. There ARE test and they ARE NOT easy. 2 people have already got kicked or dropped out. Just giving you a heads up. And also this place sucks major ass. I mean the school isnt bad I have learned alot already but the area blows. Only thing to do is drink and sleep.
Old setup: 1/4 mile on old setup: 13.965 @ 100.10 MPH, Crappy 2.236 60' on street tires
Mods: Paxton NOVI 2000 supercharger @ 10 #'s, M1 4Bbl, F&B 58mm TB, Gibson headers, JBA Y-pipe, and a Locker
