Message: Does the Air Intake Temp Sensor on the 4.7L need to be cleaned periodically? Any specific instructions as to how to accomplish this?

Message: If your air filter is doing its job, the sensor should stay clean, unless you're running one of those K&N-style air filters. Then a periodic cleaning would be good, because they're not as efficient (filtering) as a paper element.

Message: Hmm.. When I bought the truck I had to clean the TB, IAC, etc, so I can assume that sensor is probably a bit crusty as well then.

Message: Yeap, it was crusty. Used some carb cleaner to clean off the tough grit and then some contact cleaner to make sure it didn't leave a residue. Engine seems to be behaving a little bit better too.
