I was hoping for better, i think the 3.55s are
hurting me, as well as the dual exhaust setup, but
im not changing the exhaust, i like it the way it
is.

Message: What RPMs are you shifting at? Most of the 4.7 owners here seem to do better at 5500+ RPM.
Also, a non limted slip will hurt your times and consistancy. I have to "walk" my truck out of the gate, otherwise the right rear tire will spin badly and kill my ETs.

Message: Your horsepower may peak at 4800, but you have to make the compromise and shift at a higher rpm to get into the "sweet spot" of the power band when you get into the next higher gear. You go faster if you are still pulling the rpms than you do by shifting too early and waiting for the power to hit. Besides the fact that the higher rpm shift lets you use some of the stored flywheel power in the next gear.
The launch rpm will be entirely dependant upon how much traction you have. On a very slick track I've had to launch at 1200 rpm and then just lean into the throttle. With slicks and a prepped track I've launched as high as 3500 rpm without spinning. Usually on the street I can't get away with launching any higher than 1500-1800 rpms.
BTW, where are you at and at what elevation and humidity conditions? That can make a HUGE difference in performance numbers.

Message: I think he is over east and probably at a couple thousand feet of elevation but I am not sure. Mine runs consistant 14.9s in the warmer weather but alot more mods.
Teamfast: Don't get down about it most of the guys running in the 14s are at or near sea level. Mine corrected is 14.4s. With traction.:) Yours if at 2000 feet would be 15.3s at sea level.

Mine shifts at 5500 rpm's from first to second and maybe all the way thru but I haven't looked. Is 5500 rpm's normal for the auto 4.7

Message: i live in northern ontario. Im not sure what
elevation im at, but i would think we are below or
at sea level, not above it.
The humidity for the runs was a little higher than
normal, we had rain that evening but i didnt think
it would effect it significantly.
Shifting at 5500 sounds okay, Its just screaming
when it gets there...and it really seems to pull
hard up till 5 then drops.
My launches i beleive were okay, I experimented
around 2 but for the most were around 3500 (17X9s
bite real well).
I used to smoke my 16X8s easily, The 17X9s make it
more of a challenge to get the truck to
sit;).
