I work for a auto parts wholesaler and have a 05 4.7 and cant find a tailpipe except for the magnaflow cat back system or the flowmaster system. I can get the magnaflow cheap but dont want to spend that much $. And the flowmaster cat back is cheaper but i dont like the sound of flowmaster. I want to just put a polished ss magnaflow round xl in place of the resonator but i still would need a tailpipe that will fit. I can get a mandrel bent tailpipe for a 2002 4.7 real cheap but will it fit. Or a shop i deliver to will do a custom mandrel pipe for $100 or $200 in stainless. What should i do??? I am trying to keep it under 100 bucks.

I bought a magnaflow catback kit for my 05 QC 4.7L. I paid about $500CDN for it, not including having to pay duty at the border.
Its too loud for my tastes. $250 and its your's. Unfortunately shipping isnt cheap on an item like this. Let me know if your are interested, I can send you pics. It was used for about 4 months during the summer.

no thanks, i can get it new for 300 but thats more than i want to pay. Ebay would be your best bet to sell that, the last one i saw went for 300$.
I found a mandrel bent universal tailpipe made for midsize trucks for 27 bucks at my company and that might work out with the 31" magnaflow polished ss muffler i bought for 40. Im gonna try that out hopefully it will work.

No problem. I only took it off about 2 weeks ago and have been thinking about selling it on Ebay, ive never sold anything on Ebay so that stuff makes me nervous.
I cleaned up the stock exhaust and gave it a couple coats of high heat paint before throwing it back on. Also added a nice stainless tip to dress it up a bit. I was very dissapointed dodge decided not to install a stainless exhaust system from the factory.
If you replace your stock muffler with a large SI/SO magnaflow 2.5" that should make it sound pretty good. Personally I would leave the stock midpipe and tailpipe in place, they both have resonators which hopefully will eliminate or reduce any drone.. I wish I would have gone this way instead of throwing $'s at the magnaflow.
I noticed with the magnaflow some of the low end torque was lost or relocated to the upper RPM range, probably caused by the 3" pipe which is not nessesary unless you have lots of mods, and the drone at 90kph got old really fast, which is why I decided to go back to stock.

yeah, i dont want it too loud thats why im leaving the first muffler on and putting the magnaflow in place of the resonator. But everything is rusting after only a year so im tempted to find a stainless tailpipe.
