Hello,
I have a 2003 Dakota 4.7L.
It's setting codes P0016, P0340, P0344
I'm figuring the the cam sensor is bad by the codes.
Can anyone please tell me where exactly the cam sensor is located?
Thanks

The camshaft position sensor is located as follows:
On the passenger side cylinder head, outboard and forward just below the expanded part (where the timing chain lives) of the cylinder head cover (or valve cover, if you prefer). It's there because that's where the camshaft timing ring is.

The crankshaft position sensor is on the same side of the engine, but down on the block, all the way back, tucked neatly under the exhaust manifild.

Can you continue to drive the vehicle with the camshaft sensor code activated? How soon should it be replaced? Any consequences to driving before replacement?
thanks
