Message:
I am currently having a problem with the operation of the vent mode control for the heating and A/C. I do not have the ability to select only the floor vent, or only the passenger vents. The vent control only selects the defroster or the defroster, floor vent and passenger vent. I have looked at the arm that controls the distribution door for the defroster outlet that is connected to the Mode Actuator, it is properly connected. The mode actuator does move when the mode control is moved from defroster to floor, but it does not appear to be moving enough to close the defroster vent, in fact it looks like it is not moving to the correct positions at all, it seems to move to a particular position and then move back to where it was before.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Terry
