Subject: engine light, Fuel injector problems

My engine light comes on once in a while on my 2000 dodge dakota quad cab 4.7l

The error codes im getting lately are P0201, 202, 206 and 207, 208 and P0442 All but the last code are for malfunctioning fuel injectors. and the P0442 is a result of that, evac detecting a fuel leak. But anyways........trying to determine why im getting so many error codes and it's all fuel injectors? About a year ago, i had the P0208 code, injector #8 acting up so i just through some fuel injector cleaner in a voila, problem solved.

Same thing happened again recently with more than one injector and i threw in more injector cleaner and never helped, then i changed the spark plugs(regular maintenance) and she was perfect for about a week then the light came back on and getting the injector codes again, the ones i mentioned above.

It sounds like to me that it might be dirty fuel? I put in several bottles of injector cleaner( 1 bottle per tank of course lol) and wondering if this might be stiring up some dirt on the the engine side of the filter or even a dirty filter??

Other than dirty fuel what else would cause many of my injectors to act up like that. The light came on a few days ago and then went off for a day and came back on again, so not sure what's going on.

That leads me to a question about changing the fuel filter, it leads me to believe that this filter is located just above the tank and is called a fuel filter/regulator? Is this the case? Looks like i have to get that at my local dodge dealer, not available at canadian tire like most filters are. I have to drop the tank just to change a fuel filter :) any advice to changeing this filter?

Thanks

GLen

I just posted yesterday about the same problem only it's P 0205...the description of the code seems to indicate something electrical and complex but my truck is running fine now and has been since the light went on ( with the exception of the first 10 minutes it started to act up ). I don't know if I need to replace the injector or what but I'm trying to keep the dealer away if possible.
