Monroe Reflex work great. They have the last day of their buy three, get one free deal today (rebate). Rockauto.com

I've had them on two trucks and I ordered a set for my '02 Dak.

I use Rancho RS500's on my '01 QC. Mostly highway, commuting, and some towing. Great shock, have lasted a long time (about 60K). More expensive than Monroes, I think. But if you watch for sales, they are reasonable.

Hey Todd. The nice thing about the Reflex shock is they are lifetime warranty. They go bad, you get a free exchange. Installtion is your dime or dirty hands, though...

What's your left foot doing?

Background:
'01 stock 4X4 Quadcab, 4.7L Autotrans
Driven like a work truck, maintianed like 18 Yr old girlfriend (Constant attention like clockwork)

Only change:
LT265/75R16 tires

Changed to Rancho RS5000 shocks all the way around.
In less then 3 months Three shocks failed 1 had a little left to give.

The truck bounced around on the corrigated pavement (grooves in the road) turning the truck almost sideways several times.

(Not bad mouthing the Ranchos, just facts)

Changed to Monroe Reflex

No problems yet (Over 3 years) good ride on and off road.

My adventures in shocks.

I have KYB gas on my '66 Mustang. Seems to be a fine product. Although I don't beat on the Mustang, so I can't say how they perform at the extremes. But the car is comfortable, and very stable on irregular pavement.

I upgraded to Bilstein OEM replacements on my 2000...rides like crap. Stiff as hell but handles well off road...I don't recomend. I had them when I had stock tires and now have 33x12.50's and I notice every little bump. Just my two cents...

Munroe Reflex also, I've had 'em for about three years and have been happy with the ride. Mostly highway and street, occasinal hardcore country backroad speed trials, and some romps off the blacktop.
Like Todd though, I think it's time for a warranty replacement.

Finally got the Reflex shocks on the Dak. BIG improvement over the stockers. Less nose dive, much less wheel hop.

Got the KYB's installed and took the first trip. 240 miles RT on a curvy freeway. Here in montana we have some very sharp curve on our freeway's. There are some with 45 MPH recommended speed and you best get to 50 anyway. The trip was excelant. Cornered like a dream. How long will they stay this way?? No clue.
