i just got a check engine light and its po455 which is an evaporation system leak does this have anything to do with the bad cat or is this something completely different?

Tailgate up or down won't affect performance as one would think. A university did a study ( can't remember who or when but in the last few years ) to see if dropping the tailgate would affect gas mileage and/or drag and it actually creates a vacuum so no affect at all. So they say....

When would you expect to change the cat? I've got 107k miles on it and I've noticed a drop in performance and bad fumes coming out but no code (assuming it'd trip one?).

a guy said that he would install a cat for $350 and he said that he might have to replace the y pipe because its real hard to just replace the cat which would cost more money im thinking he is trying to screw me over what do yall think?
