Message: Tailgate up or down won't affect performance as one would think. A university did a study ( can't remember who or when but in the last few years ) to see if dropping the tailgate would affect gas mileage and/or drag and it actually creates a vacuum so no affect at all. So they say....
When would you expect to change the cat? I've got 107k miles on it and I've noticed a drop in performance and bad fumes coming out but no code (assuming it'd trip one?).

Message: a guy said that he would install a cat for $350 and he said that he might have to replace the y pipe because its real hard to just replace the cat which would cost more money im thinking he is trying to screw me over what do yall think?
