Subject: Upper Radiator hose? IP: Logged
Message: I bought some new radiator hoses for my 1992 318, and the upper hose goes over the A/Ca nd seems to be slightly kinked but still allows fluid though it. Will this little bit of restriction cause the truck to overheat or destroy my water pump?

Message: You shouldn't have any kinks. Flow restriction will occur, how much depends on how much is kinked. Most aftermarket hoses are cut to fit.
If you still have the origional lay them side by side comparing overall length and location of bends, some trimming may be required. Of course all this is assuming that you have the right part# for your application.
