Hello,
Have a 2000 Dakota with 45RFE Trans. 66500 miles Recently encountered a problem with the auto trans. It seems to only use 1st and 3 gears. Will not downshift with hard acceleration, no slippling. Showing code P0700 Took to AMMCO indicated the transmission output sensor code, cannot find this part (did not get actual code).

I had same problem, changed sensor, problem solved. A PO700 also sets a DTC code that can only be read by a code reader instead of the key trick. Sensor cost me about 40 $ at dealer 'couple years back. They were only ones who had it then.
