Post the specs of the cam. The only issue you'll have with a lopey cam is a lack of vacuum that will throw codes. That can be fixed, but you still may throw misfire codes.

ok ScojoDak heres some specs

210/220-512/512 110
220/230-507/507 114

ok well heres some KRC cams i saw. the first one is the popular 210X cam and the other 220 says can be used with stock magnum heads. well maybe with these specs you can give me more less and idea if these are ok with the stock heads.

If you are running 1.7's then multiply the lift by 1.0625. If you can't handle that much lift then have your cam ground to compensate for the rockers.

If you can do the work yourself then the cam is worthwhile. If you are willing to tear your engine down that far then it doesn't take much more to pull the heads and do some porting and polishing on them.

2002 R/T, Both those cams will do you good with the 110 cl cam getting the edge for lopeyness. I'll soon be installing a custom grind that falls in between those you listed with a 112 cl grind.

FYI, N56629 is correct on the rocker ratio issue. Double check if the cam is ground for 1.6 rr's. If not ground for 1.6, but for 1.7's, you may have some valve/piston clearance problems.

BTW, with either of those cams, you'll need valve springs capable of at least .600 lift. They're easy to find and are affordable. Good luck!

KRC suggests ported Magnum RT heads with 2.02" intake valves with the 210X. This cam makes decent vacuum, and despite having the lobe separation of 100 degrees, the reduced duration (as opposed to the 220 cam) makes for a smoother idle than the 220.
The 220 is aimed at stock heads and has a rough idle.
