 Subject: two questions??!!

alright i have a 2000 4.7 dodge dakota, 1) i was wondering underneath the entire dash towards the middle/right side at the top just underneath the windshield there is a wiring connector with a gold plate that screws into the body, on the other side there is 2 metal coil like things that comes out coils around and goes right back into the connector. i was wondering what this is? Also has anyone tried wiring vaccuum lines without the leak detection pump?

Might it be the occupant chamber temperature sensor that controls the a/c compressor cycle time?

is this a for sure answer or are you just guessing that thats what it might be, cause i tried unplugging it to see what doesnt work but the damn thing wont unplug
