Subject: Exhaust... IP: Logged
Message: I have a warranty on my truck, and i do not want to do work that may void it. Would putting a new exhaust system, like a flowmaster void it? Also would a cold air intake void it too?

Message: Its on the engine. I figured an intakewould be out of the question, but even exhaust? what about just a flowmaster muffler and leaving everyhting else?

Message: G'day I thought I read somewhere that putting after market products on your vehicle would not void the manufacturers warranty. Correct me if this is not the case!!!!

Message: As far as I'm aware...bolt-ons will not void it. Getting into the engine's INTERNALS will though...such as new roller rockers, cam, etc...

Message: I think it's only voided if the aftermarket part causes a problem, then you wouldn't be covered for repair. for what you want to do with the intake and exhaust i would think you'd be alright. i'm not sure about the internals, but what stated in the above post would make sense to me, since that would high risk for a problem if not properly installed or adjusted.
