Subject: Air Intake Position IP: Logged
Message: Hello, was wondering what is the correct position to put the air intake? Should it be up high, say near the fender, or down low near the opening where we removed the 4" air flap? What would give you better results? I can position mine in either position, so was just wondering. By the way i have the 360 in mine. thanks...

Message: Down low as close to the cold air as possible. The more cold air the better.

| RE: Idle Too High IP: Logged
Message: Hello! Just looking for some advice. I have a 95' Dakota 3.9 auto. Yesterday I took a can of intake/TB cleaner and did the cleaning procedure(manually revved engine to make butterflys open and then sprayed into for 10 seconds then waited 10 seconds until bottle was gone. After this I installed my new K&N Air Filter. I then went across street to get gas started it and then after I got gas noticed it had 1500 rpm idling speed. Before all of this I had 500 rpm idle speed. I am not a mechanic but I noticed that when you are in front of the bumper looking at engine and you look at cables that connect to throttle the cable nearest the TBI is slack I have read about resetting the PCM? What is PCM? Any advice would be appreciated.

Message: Reset your PCM by disconnecting your neg battery cable, then put key in and turn to start position for about 30 secs. turn back to off. reconnect your neg battery cable, and start truck. Do not hit the accelerator. let run for about 30 secs, turn off, and then turn back on. This allows for Computer to reset itself to the new air intake. any other questions feel free to ask.
