What are the symptoms of a failing pickup coil? Is there a code for it?
I have a stumble, backfire, hesitation and surging under hard accelleration. I've fixed a few problems and now this is the only problem left. I'll replacing the injectors next. 200000 miles so I think it's time. Replace the cap, rotor, fixed a few bad vacuum hoses. No codes and no other problems noted. I do need a new muffler though. I'm replacing it and the cat too.
Oh, I'm also thinking of replacing the timing chain. I'll be cleaning the IAC this weekend too.
