Message:
My V6 is burning about 2 quarts of oil every 3000 miles. That seems to be a little much, don't you think? I am using Valvoline semi synthetic 10/30. My truck almost has 60,000 miles. Is there a problem, or is this normal?
Thanks, Aaron

probably the bellypan gasket. take off your airhat and open the throttle. look down the bore of tb into the manifold. if there is a lot of oil that's probably it.

Easy to fix?

If not, then, expensive to fix?

It's easy to fix, but the belly pan is located on the under side of the intake manifold which means you have to do a lot to get access to it... Hence drain coolant, pull tb, unplug electronics, pull intake, replace gasket, and reinstall everything with new gaskets and so forth...

Shops tend to charge quite a bit for all of this, but just wondering, don't you still have some warranty possibly to cover it???
