I just bought some large sized sockets (standard) but haven't tried them out yet. Got to looking at the service manual and it seems to make alot of references to the metric system. My question is: What type of nuts and bolts do I have, Metric or Standard?

Metric I do believe...I know I have a metric set that doesn't have an 18mm and most of my truck required an 18mm to do a lot. I must say though...car manufacturers love to be pain in the asses when it comes to working on your vehicle. They use weird tools and all that good stuff.

They are a mix of metric and standard, have been since the mid 80s. Depends on what fasteners you're dealing with. Torx screws are metric. You need both sets.
