Subject: possible knock and bogging

I have a 95 CC with the 3.9. when i first start it, i hear what may be a knock. it irons itself out after a few min but it still bothers me. I also have a problem with the engine bogging down when i give it full throttle at a stoplight or something. It gives a o2 sensor rich code, could that be the bogging problem?

Most probably is. Just change it out and see what happens. Give it a couple hundred miles to relearn and get smoothed out again, but you should notice a difference right after you fire it up for the first time with the new O2 in there.

For $60, it's probably worth it. Do a search for testing the signal from the O2 sensor if you want to make sure that's what it is, before you buy.

I can't remember what it is, but there a couple posts with it on them.

most likely the knock you here is the lifters are a bit worn and do not hold internal oil pressure as well as they used to, once it or they pump up for a while the sound goes away as the lifter is no longer "partialy collapsed" Dodge has had some minor problems with this ever since the LA small block that your engine is based on came out in the early 60's. Many of the older family members have had this problem in the 60's 70's and now the 90's and 00's
