I was wondering if you/or if anyone uses the 239 for derbies as the 318 is the most popular derby engine around. It would be a pretty good one IMO?

I would say it would be alright...as these engines do make their HP and TQ in the high rpm's which would be good, they will take a beating. I seen a few guys run with 239's last night at the county fair derby and they ended up making it to the feature but got f'ed up then.
