 Subject: Trying to Determine Fuel Injector Size?

Im looking to find out what size injectors I have in my 1997 3.9 4x4. I have heard that in newer years the trucks come with larger injectors. Trying to get all info possible before I move up to better larger injectors.

One more question:
Will the injectors on the 00 and up work in 92-99's?
Also, if you got a second, I would like to hear from you what the benifit of moving up to larger injectors is.

The connector is different, but I think Five0 may have adaptors. Good luck.

not quite wise guy, some of the 21# and 24# injectors have up to five injector jets emmitting a finer spray that is better atomized then the single courser jet in the stock 19#'s. this results in a better, even burn pattern of the fuel in the combustion chamber, and, if nothing else, will result in slightly better fuel milage. just because the injector is capable of jetting more fuel does not mean that in actual use that it does.

yes it does a$$hole, if the fuel pressure and injector pulsewidths are the same, the 24 will run richer than the 19. The pcm only can adjust the fuel trims up to a certain point.
