Subject: Which model k&n IP: Logged
Message: I am looking at buying a k&n fipk for my 3.9. However, after researching it I found that there are 2 kits made for the 5.9 that fit the v6, 1517 and 1509 (I think). I have a 2000 and my cruise is located on the fender. Which of these models should I get? Also, I have heard that k&n makes a kit to relocate the cruise. Does anyone know if this comes with the FIPK? If not, how much does it cost? I just don't want to spend money on something that doesn't fit (referring to the FIPK), so if anyone has any advice or experience, could you share it? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Message: You need 1517, that has the bracket to relocate the cruise. I dont know how well the 1517 will fit, but the 1509 fit my 98 just fine. I did have the mount the horse-shoe bracket on fender mount for the Heatsheild insted of the fuel rail. You just reverse the bar and use the backside for the bracket. Works really well for me.
