Depends. If you get pre-ignition, go with a colder plug. If you get fouling, go to a hotter plug. There's the factory recommendation, and beyond that, there's no one plug that's just right for all of a certain type of engine. Pick what suits your running conditions.

I don't...didn't care for em. I guess I wasn't modded enough at the time. Currently I'm running Splitfire plugs stock range...not real impressed with them either. They're not BAD, just not worth the extra money...compared to the Autolites anyway.

I have a 2000 Sport with a V6 and I tried the Autolites. I tried changing the gap as recommeded on other posts. They just didn't work well in my truck. I then tried the Bosch Double Platinums and they seemed to work pretty well. I didn't notice any power or gas mileage gains but the truck did seem to run better. Has anyone tried the Double Platinums and the 4+'s? If so did you notice any difference?

Bosch Platinum +4 #4417

They are 1 step colder than the plug Bosch specs(#4418) for our trucks.

I have had great luck with the 4417's. Great idle and zero ping, even in the summer on 87 octane

My truck didn't like the Autolite 3923's either.
