Message: Depends. If you get pre-ignition, go with a colder plug. If you get fouling, go to a hotter plug. There's the factory recommendation, and beyond that, there's no one plug that's just right for all of a certain type of engine. Pick what suits your running conditions.

Message: I don't...didn't care for em. I guess I wasn't modded enough at the time. Currently I'm running Splitfire plugs stock range...not real impressed with them either. They're not BAD, just not worth the extra money...compared to the Autolites anyway.

Message: I have a 2000 Sport with a V6 and I tried the Autolites. I tried changing the gap as recommeded on other posts. They just didn't work well in my truck. I then tried the Bosch Double Platinums and they seemed to work pretty well. I didn't notice any power or gas mileage gains but the truck did seem to run better. Has anyone tried the Double Platinums and the 4+'s? If so did you notice any difference?

Message: Bosch Platinum +4 #4417
They are 1 step colder than the plug Bosch specs(#4418) for our trucks.
I have had great luck with the 4417's. Great idle and zero ping, even in the summer on 87 octane
My truck didn't like the Autolite 3923's either.
