Subject: Extang Tonneau Cover IP: Logged
Message: Hello all,
I'm contemplating getting the extang "black max" cover. It costs about $180. Anyone have any info on this cover? Is it any good? Thanks for the help.

Message: I went with the Extang Tuff Tonneau. It's snapless, works great. If you were going to pay $180 I would spend the $40 more to get a more streamlined look, and you won't have the hassle of snaps. Also, from what I have heard the snaps will take a lot of wear and tear over time, and eventually break. Just my opinion, I got the Tuff Tonneau and I love it, it costs about $220.

Message: I have a Extang Black Max on my Dak. Been on for a year and a half, no problems with it. I must say the snaps are kind of a pain, and if the truck is sitting in the sun, the snaps get so hot they will burn your fingers. If i had it all to do over I would get a snapless model. I did however pickup a mile or so per gallon by putting it on. Hope this helps
