jolly i hope ur kidding about not gutting the cat! why in the world would he need low end when racing???? when drag racing do you often have the truck under 3k? and seth how are u sprayin a 150 shot?? a 100 shot is a big number for the v6 but 150 is high for a v8..please explain. where did u get ur lightened fly wheel?

I have had Issues with gutted CATs
I usually have H pipes instead of CATs
I Rock Crawling with my Dakota and Race with a 'Cuda. I just wouldn't recomend Gutted CATs
use and H pip instead.

jolly whats the point in that?>?? if u run true duals it would have to be a really small diamiter pipe to keep your tq up, which u would really need for rock crawlin. jut wonderin jolly, what kinda probs did u have when u removed urs?>

I run a Super Charger in mine for Low end.
When I Gutted my CAT It was like this. I would excell hard and the truck @ 4200 rpm would feel like it was bogging down and not gaining speed or power, just 4200 and... Nothing. I removed the cat straight piped it and I didn't get that feeling. shortly there after I bought the SuperCharger and Ran my Duals pipes, H

um......when I first started readin, I got a little annoyed. After seeing yor persistance I have to say....LOL!
like to see the "duals" on your Dak Jolly. Ive done it but its tough with the tank in the way.
If yor gonna try and get a reg cab Dak into the 9's N/A yor gonna need every possible bolt on including 1.7RR's. You need to get race weight down under 3k lbs, stop axle wrap and learn to launch with DOT's or slicks.
I admire you trying it N/A you just have to understand that a 3.9 was never intended to be bad assed fast, specially in a heavy truck. Its a purpose built small truck engine and the aftermarket never embraced it as far as performance goes.
