 Subject: How can i increase top speed?

I was wondering that when i'm in overdrive on my 2001 Dakota 3.9 that my truck will only go about a 100mph, but when overdrive is off i can go about 115mph. What can i do to take off the limiter or increase the top speed. Also if you have any ideas on hp increase that wont make me have to tare into the engine like cams and lifters it would be appreciated.

get the superchips unit to get rid of the top speed limiter and possibly your rev limiter as well
build up the engine to handle a higher top speed, bigger cam, better rockers, increase your air flow in and your exhaust flow out of the engine, etc.. sounds like a good money project

better put some money aside for tickets as well
if youre gonna be running that fast too, make sure your tires can handle it (speed rating, condition, air pressure, etc)

More H.P. and/ or diff rear ratio..
3.73 would be good ..
Forget the " limiter "..
Have you put 180 therm , tried to get cooler air in , done anything with exhaust ?

"Bigger cam"? "Better Rockers"? You don't have a clue. You mean a performance camshaft? Or swap out the stock rocker arms with a rolling rocker set? About the "superchips". How many are you running? Possibly Your rev limiter? Don't you know? Air Flow In? Moron. You might mean stock airbox modification, swap in a cai, throw on a v8 tb or just drop in a K/N or other hi flow air filter. What are you suggesting? Exhaust? You mean a cat back Dual exhaust? You have posted elsewhere you bought into that b/s about "True duals hurt low-end torque" without understanding the whole nature of the mass-flow equation as it pertains the the dodge engine. I'm off to find more of this nonsense....

i was wondering how to increase my hp. i was planing on a new set of headers, a tb, and jet chip and upgraded spark plug wires. its for a 1991 3.9L, does this sound like it will make a noticeable power increase??
