1992 Dodge Dakota Sport 2WD, Auto trans, V6 Magnum with 132K miles. I am new to owning a Dodge, but have fallen in love with this truck after just 2 days. Awesome driveability and it runs like a bat outta hell! LOL I am thinking of getting dual exhaust for more power, and to get more of a V8 sound. Tried this for a Nissan and ended up sounding more like a waterlogger trumpet. ANy suggestions on what to get for more power and more V8-ish sound?
Also trying to find a body lift for this truck, but I'm having a hard time finding someplace that carries them for 2WD in this model. Any other suggestions?
My tranny also sometimes slips in what feels like 2nd gear when taking off cold sometimes, but usually straightens out when I turn overdrive off or come to a complete stop and try again. Could this just be a stuck valve that can be fixed with Lucas transmission treatment, or am I looking at possible failure soon?
