Subject: centerforce clutch IP: Logged
Message: Will a dual friction clutch for a 318 dakota with a NV3500 tranny fit a 2000 dakota with a 3.9L and a NV3500 tranny? Please help.

Message: I dont think so, the flywheels are differnt sizes as well as the clutch disc. I would go online to like autozone.com or somthing and see if they give you the same part number for the clutch assembly for a 318 and 3.9

Dodge switched over to the nv3500 behind the v6's in 2000. The input spline count on the ax and the nv are the same so they can be swapped onto either motor without changing the clutch disc.
To answer the original question, no the clutch will not work. The 318 and v6 use different size clutch. The boltpatter on the v6 flywheel is smaller than on the v8

Message: Thanks for the heads up on the NV3500-AX15 info.
Regardless, I can get the correct clutch/pressure plate for any of the applications (AX or 1500) if Centerforce makes it.
