Subject: Shifting Question IP: Logged
Message: The other day I put a new F&B TB on my 3.9. It seems to work fine. I reset the computer and have driven it about 500 miles since then. I have noticed that when I run a wide open throttle that in 2nd gear when it goes to shift to 3rd that it will sometimes shift at about 4,000 or 4,100 instead of 4,700. It does this every now and then. There are most times that it will shift correctly and then a few that it shifts early. I have a Superchips tuner on it but I have not changed any thing else since the TB. It has been a while since I have done anything else. Could this be the TPS? If so why only once in a while? Any suggestions? Everything else seems to be fine, any ideas, help? Thanks in advance.

Message: There is two cables on the side of your T.B. right? Well one cable is your acc. cable and the other is called the TV cable; it goes straight to the tranny. Take the clip out or push the button (depending on how yours is) and slide the cable to where the tapered front is flush with the mount. IDK if this will help, but there are many other pages on TV cable adjustment on here.

Message: Adjust tv cable
housing on cable back from tb will raise shift
points, moving forward will lower
older ones have a button right on the side you
need to push in to move, newer you need to pop
cover and move the clip inside.
1-2-3 controled by cable
O/D and lockup are computer controled
