Got a 99 3.9L V6 dakota and I get about 17MPG, is there anything minor I can do to get better gas mileage without spending Thousands of dollars? I'm not interested in performance just getting better mileage. Any mods....replacements of stock parts...

pretty easy, they'd take a little bit of time and work but nothing major. on the main page of this site there is an article in the how-to section that shows an injector swap.

as far as mileage goes, on my 02 3.9 ive done stuff like

superchip programmer
custom cold air intake
fastman ported/polished tb
harland sharp 1.7 roller rockers
summit racing cap, rotor and plug wires
autolite 3923's
summit racing single in-single out muffler & catco hi-flow cat
amsoil synthetics in engine, tranny and diff.

the mods that have actually helped me gain mileage have been the harland sharp rockers, amsoil, and plugs and wires. the rest all helped out on performance but didnt seem to get me any mpgs. i'm planning on taking off my intake manifold soon, doing some porting/smoothing and gasket matching to it, while fixing the belly pan. i might also spring for some of those injectors, have heard good things about them.
