I've got a -minor- problem...
See, I bought a set of FMS #19 fuel injectors a few weeks ago, and just got around to trying to install them today after my final. I also fixed my IAT wiring (broken wire) and removed the TB to do a little mild porting with a Dremel.
Now, I was under the impression that the FMS #19 injectors would fit on a 2000 Dodge Dakota 3.9L with no real big hassle. Remove the rail, pull the old ones, install new ones, reinstall rail. Right?
Well, removing the rail wasn't too bad. I had to remove the A/C compressor bracket but no big deal there. The rail lifted off ok, and the clips came off good too. No problem removing the injector either. The FMS #19 plugged right in as advertised... then... disaster!
-THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS WRONG!-
I can't plug the connector in! Help! The plug on the injector is rectangular, while the one on the truck is square! Is there an adapter for this? Did they send me the wrong injectors? Whats going on?

Todd, put them back on ebay! You should have no trouble selling them. Sorry to hear of your trouble. They have made a design III injector.

Looks like Design II is the right one though... at least, the connections look the same as on the Design III. I emailed Bruce, hopefully he can give me some information!

According to Bruce, the injectors fit up to 1999, they don't have a FMS injector for the 2000 because of the different connector. I'm waiting for Bernd to get back to me about an adapter, but... how half @ssed are you? :0)

I seen & read somewhere that 2000+ can use the Lincoln Navigator injectors but they are 24lb

I'll look into that, Bruce has those on his site too. But they kind of looked like the same connector these have... I'll check though! 24lbs would be ok I think. No real benifit to it I know, but it shouldn't hurt things. Plus if/when I do a Turbo, I'll already have the injectors!

No, seriously, I want to wait until tomarrow to see if Bernd gets back with me about an adapter. I'd -really- like to use these myself, but if I can't... well, I'm sorry Intense, BlackDak seems to actually have a need for them. Bernd told him his injectors were crap and needed to be replaced, because his truck isn't running right. So I'll probally sell them to him if he's got the right connector...
