Well not for me but a few of you guys know me and prolly heard me say something about my friends 97 s10.....well....he loves dodge a lot more than GM and even put a Ram sticker on his back window. The only reason he got the truck in the first place was because of the extremely low mileage.

Saturday he is buying a new ram...a rc....swb...HEMI with 17's not the pig 20's...although they look good there heavy.

So Hes moving up in the world and gets about $2300 a month and lives with his grandmother and doesnt have to pay a dime for rent.

ANybody know about how much $20k is going to be per month...cause when he trades in his s10 it should pay itself off and thats about it.

How will he be able to get the 0%? He also works at a warehouse that makes seat belts for Chrysler and Chevrolet and get a decent discount on the brand new vehicles not used...so we are thinking he can get one for about $18k...and that would make his payment 400 a month......will he also get that 7/70,000 warranty chrysler advertises?

These are questions you should be asking the dealer, or your buddy should ask his boss or people he works with. I doubt you are going to find any real answers here. The best you can hope to get here is an "I would assume the warranty would be available" or "There is no way to tell what the payments would be, because it depends on his intrest rate" Since no one here works at the same warehouse that your buddy does we can't give him the answers to the questions you are asking. Also you and your buddy seem kind of young, I doubt he will be able to get approved for the 0% intrest, he might be looking at something a little closer to 6% and then his payments go up. The only way to find out the real answers to these questions is to get in his S10 and take it to the dealer and ask them the questions.

Being 19 I am going to wish you good luck with not paying more than $450 a month. The years worth of credit that he has probably isn't much more than a couple of credit cards which doesn't signify much to a car dealer. I am interested to see how he makes out because I am 23 and the first vehicle that I am paying for is my truck, and I bought it a little more than a year ago, and I needed a cosigner, and I still got raped with a 7% intrest rate. Good luck, and let me know how you make out, because I want to know how bad I got screwed.

I have never been in an accident, I have no points on my licsence, and I bought my truck a year used it was an 02 and I bought it in 03. My truck payments are $377 a month over 5 years, and my insurance is $2600 a year. I'm 23 and the truck I purchased was a 2002 Dakota SLT 2wd loaded. But I still think I am getting hosed.

I'm 25, and I've got very good credit. I own a home and I have a few credit cards, all with $0 balance. I have worked full time for 3 years and part time for years before that.

However, I can't swallow a car payment for myself at all. I saved up about $4000 and bought my 93 Dakota in the spring of 2003. My insurance is $600 per year, and I don't owe a dime on my truck. There are so many other things in life that I can do with $400 per month.

Sounds like it is too late for your friend now, but consider this the next time you feel the urge to buy a car.

93dak...I like your style...I intend to try and live the same way. How nice it'd be living debt free and OWNING virtually everything you've got without having to make payments...with the exception of probably a house unless you're really friggin rich...

You can believe me that it is very difficult to avoid the temptations of a new car. I've had my share of problems with my 93, but I'd much rather make the repairs on a car that I own than on one that I'm still making payments on.

About a month ago I nearly bought a 2001 Durango, but even that was going to cost me $360 per month and the insurance was almost double my Dakota. I can do a lot of repairs (and some mods) for $360 per month on my truck.

I refuse to make payments. I buy everything cash. I only use credit to buy gas, but that gets paid off each month. I am 21, own 4 cars and 3 properties. I have one 15 year motgage, but the rent I collect from two of the properties covers all of it plus gives me a few hundred $ a month. I work full time designing aircraft wings and doing areodynamics studies, so my check just gets invested for future use.
