Subject: Engine misfiring?? IP: Logged
Message: I have a 3.9L Dak and I just replaced my spark plugs with another set of Autolite 3923's set at .040 gap, and some NAPA replacement spark plug wires, and now when I start the truck up it vibrates really bad in reverse and drive, and sounds like it might be misfiring or not firing on all cylinders. But it sounds fine in park. Help please.

Message: REcheck spark plug gap..
Probably better at .045 - my 95 liked that..
and was acting just like yours at only .040
These " computer controlled " setups are
a real PAIN..

Message: bingo
remember, firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2
driver's bank is 1-3-5
passengers bank is 2-4-6
also remove and check all the plugs to make sure non of them got the tips smashed down... i have had that happen before
