Subject: 99 hesitates in reverse IP: Logged
Message: Last few weeks my truck seems to want to stall out when backing out of parking spots--like it's not getting fuel. Every other time seemed okay. Now I have occasional problem of same variety from stop. Runs great on road and all. It's a 99 Auto with about 57K miles. Any ideas?

Message: Thanks ? I found some info for that cleaning - I guess I just don't understand why IAT would do that.
Anybody know?

Message: It also could be the iac. When it gets gunked up it will cause stalling.
Its located at the back of ur throttle body
the IAT sees incoming air temp and the comp after seeing the temp will choose a fuel and timing curve based on that reading
A cooler reading to an extent will make more power due to a more aggressive timing and fuel curve
