Message: I drove my dads 93 318 Ram van(contractor) home the other day from work and hes got alot of weight in the back of it from all the tools etc..It would flat out beat my 93 3.9L ext cab dakota even with all the added weight. I dont even have to race him from the drive home it would just put mine to shame! And I dont even have any weight in the back of my bed but it is an ext. cab It also runs better then my 3.9L and both of them have 130,000 on them. He pulls a 16ft dual axle trailor which he pulls his scafold and planks with and I hate to say it but it would be an even match if I where to race him with his trailor hooked up! How sad...but its the truth!! What can I say? I want a 318!!!
Ive got:
K&N FIPK
Dynomax muffler
180 t-stat
Napa Cap & Rotor
Bosch premium wires

Message: Sounds like something wrong with your dak !
Has cat been changed yet ? or at least recently ?
The originals tend to plug up ..
Also EGR valve ?
3.9 ' s are not hemi's , BUT !!
My 95 would at least hold that 318 , if not wipe.
I have had 318's and a 360 in vans..
