 Subject: IAC/ECU problem

I have a 95 dakota 3.9L and i have a problem. i get a check engine light which reveals a short in the IAC circut. the IAC has been replaced and i still get the code. also if i reset the computer, it will run fine for about a day, then it will throw the light and shortly therafter run like crap. does this sound like a bad computer?

i have talked to people about that and have yet to test it. most mechanics i have spoke to say it sounds more like the ECU

Well, sounds like a problem that I am having. I will get a check engine light and then the damn truck will shut off along with the check engine light coming on. This has been happening for a few weeks now and it is in the shop as we talk. The mech there states he belives that they are going through a rash of computers saying that they are having some troubles with them. He also states that they are having several different symptoms besides the one that I am having.
