Message: On the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 1000 Air Filter, do I need to modify the bolt on my carb, or do I need to make an S-bolt to fit it?
Thank you in advance

Message: If it's like the gen 3's bolt...you'll need to make an s-bolt. The stock bolts are too short. S-bolts are cheap and easy to make anyway... I think the total cost of mine was like $2 and I still have about 3/4 of that rod left. Just remember not to trace that picture exactly if you use the one from Speedtweaks...it's not drawn to scale and more than likely won't fit. Use the description and design your own pattern then just bend the rod to the pattern.

Message: Thanks, but actually the rod that was already on my carb was too long for the application. So I just hacked some of it off.
Looks nice too, but I will have to wait till tomorrow to open her up and see if there is any real differance with it on there.
Thanks anyway
