Message: At what interval should I change my transmission fluid? My transmission was rebuilt at 113k and I have 151k on it now. From what I've read, if you do alot of towing, you should change it around 30k. If you do normal every driving and are easy on it, about every 100k. I do 50% highway driving with auto-pilot on and 50% driving in the city, using the pedal as an on/off switch. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks for your time.

Message: They're not as rugged as when I was a kid. My owner's manual says every 37.5K for normal use, every 22K miles for severe service. That's what I'd do.

Message: I'm going to once a year complete flush, the FSM has a ridiculously long interval if you ask me. My fluid was pretty nasty at the normal interval when I recently changed all of it. I was surprised how much sludge was on that magnet too. I figure if you change it more often it lasts even longer.
