about the cheapest upgrade is to move the ait sensor, remove the rubber flap to let more air in, k/n drop in air filter. Then, for $50-$100, get a v-8 throttle body from the junk yard. Clean it up, put your sensors on it from your throttle body, and install. New Plugs, go to wal-mart, get APP 3293, gap 'em a little wider than the factory setting (.005 wider) will help too, about $20 cost. #5 plug is a bitch though, removing the heat shield will help. A free flow exhaust (flowmaster 40 or 50 series) helps the get up and go too.
