I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota 3.9 SLT with and automatic transmission. Is there anything I can get or do to make my shifts stronger, faster, and more assured? Thanks for the advice.

I'm guessing that you could adjust the TV cable. Check out this thread...

or search this site for "tv cable" for additional threads.

If the TV cable doesn't do enough for you, get a TransGo kit installed.

1) Shift kit.
2) Adjust the bands a little tighter.

TFOD 518 Transgo around $100

If you are not familure with automatics find
someone who is to help you install the kit

The 2 servo spacers are not nessasary to install
but do all the valve body work.

If you crank up the presure on the 42RE be sure
you install the resistor included in the kit or
it will throw trans presure codes

center port at idle in gear break on 50 to 70 psi
as soon as you touch the throttle 100 + psi this
is a good place to be

Just go street strip not race it will give you
nice firm quick shifts but not harsh neck snapping
shifts
