I just installed a V8 throttle body with V8 throttle cable on my 2001 3.9L everything went fine untill I pushed the pedal. the pedal sits much highter then it used to and at WOT(wide open throttle) the pedal doesn't touch the floor any more. The throttle plates are opening and closing properly and arn't hitting anything and dont seem to be binding.
Has any one else had this and is there a way to make it feel the way its suposed to. what could be causing this?

Just a side note I got the TB and cable off of a 5.9L B350 van.

get the right cable...... Just any v8 cable won't work..... has to be for a Dakota... I'm sure someone has the p/n handy...

I thought about that and couldnt tell much difference between the two cables so I got a little creative and cut the throttle cable bracket between the cruise cable and throttle cable moved it about 5/8in closer the throttle pivot, works great now pedal sits back down where its supost to. the braket looks okay too. I'm the only one ever under the hood anyways.
