Message:
I am in the process of building a offroad 4x4 dakota truck to go out and play in the mud, sand, snow or whatever the conditions maybe and i was wondering if there was any company that made trnasmissions for certains type applications like i.e. offroad, street, or drag racing. Any information would be great

Thanks

TransGo shift kit

This will firm up the shifts make them faster with
less slipage and heat build up and make the trans
hold up a lot better

TFOG-518 will work in all the A500 and A518 trans

If you turn up the presure with the adjusting
screw and you have a RE elec gov you will need to
install the resistor that comes with the kit

42RH has a 3 wire oblong plug near the shift
linkage

The 42RE has a roundish 6 wire plug and also
controls gov presure electronicly

I recomend 3 turns up

If you have a guage
center port, in gear break on idleing from 50 to
70 psi, and as soon as you touch the gas should
go 100 psi plus

That is a good place to be

I would add some extra clutch packs and install a shift kit. Make sure you run a good trans cooler also.

Jasper will built you a transmission to whatever specs you want, but it will cost you. They don't have any prebuilt V6 dakota trans, unless you want stock specs, so you'll also need to give them time to build it.
