I recently removed the curved tube on the front of the airbox on my v-6. It seems to be breathing better, since I already have a K&N filter installed. A little more acceleration and alot more noise, being that I already have a gibson cat-back. I was wondering if this still provides adequate filtration to the engine? And if this mod will void my warranty? I was going to remove the rubber flap on the grille in front of the airbox. Will this help at all and will it suck up too much crap into the filter and airbox?

it will help. i took out the air horn and also enlarged the hole to about 5" in diameter. no probs @ all.
