its in the fuel pump which is conveniently located in the gas tank. Not too sure if it comes out of the pump. at least that is what I have been shown/told by numerous auto parts pesonnel and mechanics.

Yea, greendak is correct, the fuel filter is inside the tank, which means you have to reomve the tank or the bed to get at it, they are a real pain in the backside for replacing a $1.25 part.
