I just bought a used 2002 Dakota.
It has flashed an error code that I had read as P1757(M).The brief description is"Governor pressure greater than 3psi when requested to be 0 psi(4 spd auto trans only). The MIL light went out after about 7 miles, but the code is still in memory. Can any one provide me with a more detailed description of what this error code means?

The gov presure on the 42RE is controled by a
presure sensor and a solonoid

May just have been a fluke, small piece of dirt
or posible bad sensor or solonoid

If the truck was sitting a long time the converter
may have drained down and triped the code

If it does not reoccur don't worrie about it
